SFX Irish Dance Club Winter 2009-2010
Affiliated with the Foy School of Irish DanceWho? All SFX students who would like to learn Irish dancing.
When? Wednesdays (12/9, 12/16, 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24)
3:00-3:30 Beginners (new dancer or has taken only 1 session of lessons)
3:30-4:30 Advanced Beginners (has taken lessons for at least 2 sessions)
4:30-5:30 Intermediate (by invitation only)
NEW! 5:30-6:00 Hard Shoes (by invitation only)
*An extra $50 fee is required for hard shoe lessons

Where? Xavier Room (Students can be dropped off and picked up at the gym door.)
How much? A flat rate of $100. Please make the check payable to Saint Francis Xavier School. For hard shoes, please add an additional $50.

Description of Classes:
Beginners- Irish dance lessons will teach the basic beginner soft shoe steps, along with beginner ceilli set dances. During this session, students will be learning the first steps of the jig and reel, as well as hop 2-3's to participate in ceilli (group) dances.
Intermediate- Irish dance lessons will implement new intermediate individual soft show steps, along with ceili dances. Students at this level are invited to participate in Feisanna (competitions).
