8th Grade Confirmation Candidates

The 8th graders that are candidates for Confirmation will be acknowledged at an enrollment liturgy this Saturday, October 1 at the 5pm mass.  Please try to make it.

Manditory Confirmation Practice

Confirmation Practice is this Thursday, March 3 at 7:30 pm.
 
Please Note:  Each candidate should have someone with them on Thursday night.
  
Please pick up an information sheet in the back of church and be in your designated spot by 7:30.

The number on the attached map (see attached download below) indicates the pew where you will be sitting. 
                       
The placement of the number indicates where in the pew the candidate should sit.
                       
Those on the center aisle sit in the first spot with their sponsor next to them.
                       
Those in the second half of the pew need to be sitting in the middle with their sponsor next to them.
 
All the newly confirmed will sit on the ends of the pew after Communion so they will be able to process out with Bishop Kane.        

Those on the side aisle will lead out first and those on the center aisle will follow last.
                       
                        The practice will cover:
                        Important details regarding the celebration
                        Questions that people might need answered
                        Practice of responses of candidates and sponsors

Once a candidate has practiced being confirmed we ask that you leave the Church. Practice with the large group should not take longer than an hour.

We look forward to Bishop Kane being with us this Saturday, March 5 at 10:00am.

6-M Religion

The 6th graders joined their Sisters yesterday for a beautiful liturgy held at the Sacred Heart Convent.  We've really enjoyed writing to our Sisters and receiving letters throughout the school year.  They are lovely people and it has been a great opportunity for the kids to get to see what a Convent is like.  Enjoy the photos of the mass and the presentation of the check.

8th Grade Homeroom

I'm so proud of the 8th graders for a truly memorable May Crowning.  It was absolutely beautiful and the sun came out just in time for a few pictures.  Thanks for all of your hard work in preparing for this special day.  They even sang Salve Regina in Latin!  What a talented group of young men and women.

Congratulations 8th graders on becoming Confirmed!  I was so proud of each of you.  It was an absolutely beautiful day and a wonderful celebration. 

6 -M Religion

The 6th graders received letters back from their pen-pals at the Sacred Heart Convent today.   The 6th graders made valentines and published letters for their Sisters.  They were really excited to receive these very heart felt replies and look forwarding to seeing their pen-pals soon.  We'll keep you updated as to our next visit to the Convent.  We continue in this season of Lent to focus not only on giving up something that is tempting us, but also going out of our way to do good deeds.
