The scrip program is currently on par with last year, having earned $7,966.14 this 'scrip fiscal year'. We split those monies with scrip purchasers 50/50, with your 50% going toward your tuition, and SFX's portion going to the HSO.
Your rebates from purchases will continue to accrue through May 31, 2012. Your rebate total as of that date will then be credited toward your next year's tuition, so there is still time to increase your rebate totals/tuition savings! (In June, July and August, you keep 70% of your rebate amounts.)
Something to think about....if each family purchased cards every month, including summer, below is an example of the earnings potential (and tuition savings potential!):
- Grocery (Dominick's, Jewel or Whole Foods) - $500/mo.
- Starbucks - $60/mo.
- Panera - $50/mo.
- Gas - $200/mo.
The above purchases per family would translate into $392.40 per year in rebates, x 225 families would equal $88,290.00 just for doing your everyday shopping...not to mention extra cards you might buy during the holidays or for travel, etc. (The above example would yield $216.00 in a tuition credit per family).
The next scrip order deadline is Friday, March 9th. Orders should be online by 9am, with checks turned into the school office, payable to SFX HSO. Cards will be distributed by Wed., March 14th.
