I am still beaming with pride! You all did a FANTASTIC job at the talent show tonight! I can't wait for Saint Patrick's Day! Keep up the great work!

Talent Show!

All Intermediate and Advanced dancers (in grades 2-8) are invited to perform in the Crusader's Tonight Talent Show! Dancers must attend practice on January 31st and an extra practice on February 1st from 3:00-4:00 in the gym.

Parents, please fill out and return the Irish dance permission slip to Miss Howard and the Crusader's Tonight permission slip to the office. Both permission slips are due by Friday January 27th. Thanks!

Christmas Show!

SFX Irish Dancers presents "A Christmas Ceili"

When? Tuesday December 13th, 2011 at 7:00pm

Where? School Gymnasium

Come and see the Foy School of Irish Dance perform a show that is sure to put you in the Christmas spirit!

Important Information for Dancers:

* All dancers have been asked to choose one member of their family to join them in a special Ceili dance. Thanks for your participation!

*We will be having a mandatory rehearsal on December 13th from 3:00-4:30.Beginners may leave at 4:00.

*COSTUMES- Dancers should wear their Irish dancing costumes, poodle socks, dance shoes, and silver headbands. Their hair should be neat and out of their face. If you still haven't ordered the blue jumper, please do so very soon. Information for ordering the costume is on the left side of this blog ("costume information"). If you are not interested in purchasing an Irish dancing costume at this time, please contact Courtney Mulvihill for a rental (mulvy2@aol.com). If you need to purchase a silver headband contact me (kerryhoward@sfx-school.org).

Tis the Season!!

Reminders

There will be no Irish Dance classes on October 19th due to the Rummage Sale.

A representative from Ballinvila Shoe Company will be at SFX on Wednesday November 2nd selling Irish dance shoes, socks, CDs, etc. They will be set up outside of the Xavier Room from 3:30-5:30.

Fall Feis Information 2011

SFX Irish Dancers in the Intermediate and Advanced Dancer groups are encouraged to participate in competitions this fall. There are FOUR competitions occuring in the Chicagoland area this season. If your child is interested in competiting, please email kerryhoward@sfx-school.org.
